Booking a Session

  1. Complete Our New Client Intake Form:
    This form collects important information about you, your goals, and your preferences. It helps us match you with the right clinician and prepare for your first session.

  2. We’ll Review:
    After submitting the form, Sarah will review your information and reach out to verify insurance benefits and schedule your first appointment. To help speed this up, please email us a picture of the front and back of your insurance card info@healthhopeharmony.com

  3. Insurance and Payment:
    We accept a variety of insurance plans and offer flexible payment options, including a pay-what-you-can option through our intern clinicians. We verify insurance benefits prior to your first appointment. While it’s not a guarantee, it does help reduce surprises—because insurance loves to keep us guessing.

  4. Session Formats:
    Sessions are available in-person at our Cedar Rapids and Des Moines locations, as well as virtually through secure video platforms. Session are usually 45-55 minutes in length.

**Dear New Clients, please read about OUR COUNSELING MODEL:

We follow best practices based on the latest research to maximize your results. Studies show that clients who have weekly sessions in the earlier stage of counseling see progress faster and ultimately spend less time and money than those who attend bi-weekly or monthly.

To support your progress, when you start working with our counselors, you’ll begin with recurring weekly sessions, with your reserved day and time held just for you.

As you move through counseling, you and your counselor will decide together when to adjust the frequency of sessions.

Our goal is to help you make meaningful, lasting progress in the most effective way possible.

If you cannot afford counseling, do not have insurance, or can’t manage co-pays, we have student interns and free resources available to support you. 

We accept the following insurance:

Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, HealthPartners, Iowa Total Care, Molina, Optum/United, Wellpoint (formerly Amerigroup)

Each insurance company and each plan is different. We encourage you to call your insurance company to inquire about your specific benefits.
